The film has a release date of March 28, 2014.

Iko Uwais will reprise his role as Rama. In addition, the film stars Alex Abbad, Julie Estelle, Tio Pakusadewo, Arifin Putra, Oka Antara, and Cecep A. Rahman. Japanese actors Ryuhei Matsuda, Kenichi Endo and Kazuki Kitamura are also joining the film.

Development

Following Merantau, Gareth Evans and his producers began to work on a movie project called Berandal (which is Indonesian for "thugs"), a large-scale prison gang movie intended to star not onlyMerantau actors Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian, and Donny Alamsyah reprise his role, but also an additional pair of international fight stars. A teaser trailer was shot, but the project proved to be more complex and time consuming than they had anticipated.[7] After a year and a half, Evans and the producers found themselves with insufficient funds to produce Berandal, so they changed to a simpler, but different story with a smaller budget. They called the project Serbuan Maut (The Raid).[8]

While developing The Raid in script form, Evans considered the idea of creating a link between it and the initial project, Berandal. It was later confirmed that Berandal will serve as a sequel to The Raid.[9][10] Evans has also stated his intention to make it a trilogy.[11]

Sony has purchased the film for U.S., Latin American and Spanish markets. Alliance/Momentum has purchased the film for the United Kingdom and Canada; Koch Media has acquired the film for German speaking territories; Korea Screen has purchased the film for the Korean market; and HGC has acquired the film for China. Deals for other major territories are currently under negotiation.[12]

Titled as "The Raid 2" announced for the U.S. market, the sequel will have a “significantly larger” budget than its predecessor, and its production schedule will take approximately 100 days.[13]The pre-production is expected to begin in September 2012 while the filming is expected in January 2013.[14][15]

Rene, pelatih Marching Band profesional, dipilih untuk membawa Marching Band Bontang ke kancah nasional. Dan bagi Rene ini adalah tantangan besar memimpin seratus duapuluh anak dari kota kecil.

Mereka datang dari berbagai latar belakang. Jadwal latihan Marching Band itu padat, berat dan keras. Elaine, Tara, dan Lahang berusaha meraih mimpi mereka sambil mengatasi rumitnya masalah kehidupannya masing-masing. Dengan kegigihan dan perjuangan, grup Marching Band ini berhasil memenangkan kompetisi tingkat nasional.

Proses pengambilan gambar film ini dimulai 22-23 Desember 2012, bersamaan dengan acara kompetisi Marching Band di Istora Senayan, Jakarta. Pengambilan gambar mengggunakan 24 kamera dari berbagai sudut.

The film will also cover some of the backstory of Xerxes, and will explain how he became "the God King"

In June 2008, producers Gianni Nunnari, Mark Canton, and Bernie Goldmann revealed that work had begun on a sequel to 300.[14] Legendary Pictures announced that Frank Miller, who wrote the 1998 comic book limited series on which the film 300 was based, was writing a follow-up graphic novel, and Zack Snyder, co-screenwriter and director of 300, was interested in directing the adaptation, but instead chose to develop and direct the Superman reboot Man of Steel.[15][16] Noam Murro has signed as the director, while Snyder is set to produce. The film will be centered on the Greek leader Themistokles, portrayed by Australian actor Sullivan Stapleton.[17]

During pre-production, the film was titled 300: Battle of Artemisium (although this was widely misreported as "Battle of Artemisia");[9] the film was retitled 300: Rise of an Empire in September 2012.[18]

Principal photography commenced in early July 2012 at the Nu Boyana Film Studios in Sofia, Bulgaria.[19] On May 10, 2013, it was announced the film's release date would be pushed back from August 2, 2013, until March 7, 2014.[6]
